The Coop Network is firstly a growing community, then a business conglomerate that aims to build a more sustainable future and an alternative investment and passive income platform. The Coop Network is digitizing the cooperative internal management, facilitating new member’s onboarding and automating Coop investment. All through a secure and transparent platform, powered by blockchain technology.
2. What is a Cooperative?
Cooperatives are “autonomous associations of people voluntarily united to meet their economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations, through a jointly managed enterprise”. Like DAOs, cooperatives are autonomous and decentralized, they are run by and for their members. You can study the law here:

It’s the digital representation of your stake in The Coop Network and it brings you yearly cooperative dividends. Once activated, you become a member in the Coop, so the NFT becomes the digital representation of your membership on the blockchain.
Art. 45 (3)4. What are the benefits of having a Coop Membership Card?
It’s the easiest way to become a member in the Coop, vote in strategic & economic decisions regarding the use of financial contributions, contribute to business development and get as involved as you want in the Coop management. You gain access to Coop investment opportunities, you get to explore the business plans, build your portfolio and track your success. Overall, you get to be part of a visionary community that works toward a better future, all while building a long-term income.
5. Can anyone purchase a Coop Membership Card?
Yes, anyone can purchase a Membership Card and become a stakeholder in The Coop Network, yet only those who pass our KYC process (Know Your Customer) will become members. According to the law, cooperatives are open to all persons capable of using their services and who agree to take on the responsibilities of cooperative membership, without any discrimination based on nationality, ethnic origin, religion, political affiliation, social origin or gender. The law of cooperatives is valid globally, yet there are a number of countries that have restrictions.
Art. 8 (a)6. What’s the cost of a Membership Card?
The cost of a Membership Card is 100$. The cost is estimated in USD for technical reasons, but it can be paid by card in other currencies too (EUR, RON etc). Your cooperative dividends will be correlated to your stake.
7. Is the Coop Membership purchase safe?
Your stake in Coop is backed by the law of cooperatives. A smart contract is made between you and our Cooperative, so we’re technologically and legally bound to respect the agreed conditions of your initial contribution and possible further investment. Geoma DAO Coop is our Cooperative, registered in the EU under the following EUID: C32/4/2020 and subject to LAW nr. 566/2004 regarding the organization and functioning of cooperatives:

After purchasing the Membership Card as a NFT, you can become a member by completing a Know Your Customer (KYC) process. The KYC standards are designed to protect financial institutions against fraud, corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing. KYC involves several steps to establish member identity, like the identity document scan & liveness detection. Persons who, according to the law, are incapable or who have been convicted of crimes against patrimony through breach of trust, crimes of corruption, embezzlement, crimes of forging documents or tax evasion cannot be members.

As one of the first 3000 Early Members you get to enjoy exclusive benefits, like early access to the first rounds of Coop investments and discounted Coop products and services (insurance, travel and more).
10. What are my rights and obligations as a member in the Coop?
The main rights of Coop Members, also found in the Coop Statute, are as follows:
- the right to information regarding the activities of the cooperative;
- participation in the distribution of net profit;
- participation in the activity of the cooperative;
- the right to withdraw from the cooperative;
- the right to benefit from facilities and services from the cooperative;
- the right to choose and be chosen in the management bodies, once becoming a shareholder Member (Full Member).
The main obligations of Coop Members, also found in the Coop Statute:
- not to be a cooperative member in competing cooperatives at the same time;
- to respect the values and principles of the cooperative movement;
- to comply with the provisions of the constitutive acts and the internal regulations of the cooperative - the Coop Statute;
- to fully cover any damages caused to the cooperative;
Art. 16 (5)11. How are the yearly cooperative dividends calculated?
The distribution of cooperative dividends is decided on the basis of annual financial figures and is made from a proportion of 20% of the Coop's profit.
Art. 45 (3)12. How can I increase my Stake in Coop?
In Coop Wallet, every member will have the opportunity to increase their stake in the cooperative and receive cooperative dividends proportional to their contribution. All of this is secured and transparent with the use of smart contract technology.
Art. 8 (c)13. What’s the difference between a Full Member and a Member in Coop?
You can become a Full Member if you go through the KYC L2 process, which also includes the AML (Anti Money Laundering) procedure, and meet us personally at one of the Coop headquarters. At the same time, for the status of Shareholder Member, a contribution of 20,000 euro to the social capital and investments in at least 3 of the businesses available in the Coop Wallet investment platform is required.
14. Can I purchase more than one Membership Card?
You may purchase only one card per transaction, as we do not encourage speculation with Membership Cards NFTs in any way. Their foundation lies in the assets and businesses of the Coop, so the purpose of a Membership Card is to represent a decentralized ID of a Member in the Coop. Once activated, the Membership Card cannot be transferred to another participant in the Coop ecosystem.
15. What if I want to stop being a member after purchasing & activating a Membership Card?
If you no longer want to be a member, you can withdraw from the Cooperative and we will facilitate your exit through the Members Exchange, where other members can buy your stake and/or investment position in Coop businesses. The digitalization and automation of this process will be implemented in Coop Wallet during this year.

Currently, Coop Wallet is in development and will be launched during the first half of this year. Through Coop Wallet, members of the cooperative will have access to a variety of exciting features, including the opportunity to invest in Coop businesses, track their growth, take advantage of exclusive discounts on Coop products and services, and connect with other investors, project managers, and experts in related fields within the Coop community.
17. What is a Coop Wallet and its technology?
Coop Wallet is firstly an investment platform, then a software program in development that allows individuals to store, send, and receive digital currencies & assets. The wallet holds the user's private keys, which are used to sign transactions and provide proof of ownership for the stored digital assets, in our case the digital ID of a Coop Membership. The wallet also provides a way to view the balance and transaction history of the associated currencies & assets and the investments made.
18. Where can I connect with other members who purchased a Coop Membership Card?
This year we will develop a community platform that will be exclusively dedicated to the members of The Coop Network. By joining it you’ll gain access to members-only gatherings, events and in-person social events. Co-invest with our founding members, collaborate with like-minded investors and entrepreneurs, and experience the advantages of a sharing economy, including educational resources carefully selected for you.
